i hv sm querry–
1. y we hv only 8 ts/trx.
2. y we r not able to make 32 transcoder in 1 bsc.
3. y v can not make more then no. 16 no.of signalling in 1 bsc.1/ that’s 3GPP specs.
2/ 32 transcoders ?? what do you mean ?
3/ i don’t understandwhen i started to answer, i thought i’d be able to answer more than 50%, but i understand only 33% of the questions. Let’s look at the bright side: I answered 100% of the questions that I understood 😀

interviewers ask the weirdest questions, really.
and there is no need to write in capital letters…
1/ there is certainly a good reason for it… let’s see:
a speech frame contains speech for 20ms.
and with GSM codecs and protection, 20ms of speech are coded in 456 bits.
so you need a net bit rate of 456 bits / 20ms..
I’ll stop here because i don’t see how you can link that to 8TS/TRX… 🙂2/ there is no transcoder in the BSC. the transcoder is a dedicated equipment, outside the BSC. And one BSC is connected to one transcoder via Ater interfaces.
