RRC Registration Fail in UMTS

    Hello,
    Can any one knows, what are the reasons for RRC Registration fail in UMTS?

    Hi, it seem that the location area update is fail. It should be checked whether the Cell is registered in Core

    Thanks for the reply,

    But what is the exact meaning of “Cell is registered in Core”. Yes definatley that site is on RNC-LAC boundary. But it’s not 100% registration fail. Registration fail rate is two much high in that sector. So what exactley I need to check in core?

    One more thing any idea about failure due to ALCAP & IU Protocol error’s?

    Please suggest…
