    Hi,

    RXQUAL refers to DEDICATED MS.

BAD RXQUAL refers to HIGH BER.

    What causes BER?

    Hardware
    Interference.

    If Hardware is OK then

the only cause left over is interference.

What causes interference in DEDICATED MODE?

    POOR HOPPING PLANNING.

So can we say to improve the RXQUAL

One has to focus only on HOPPING SUBJECT.

    Regards

    Regards.

Can we have the equation between No of intracell handovers and Hopping?

    That is ,

More the no of intracell handovers = Poor hopping in the cell/network

We found in our network, HW related problem (like faulty trx, poor calibration of DRI, loose cable and connector) and interference both in BCCH and hopping ARFCNs are the main reasons for high BER.
Ya I agree that the more intracell HO indicates poor frequency palnning in the network.
