    Hi all,

in Siemens BSS there is a feature called HR / FR Compression Handover.

Are these compressions / decompressions (i.e. change from FR to HR or vice versa) counted in the scanners TASSATT_2 and TASSATT_3 as well ?

How is TCH Blocking calculated when using this feature ?

    Thanks in Advance !

    Regards Zbigniew

    hello,
i can’t answe about the first question.
for the second question: tch congestion is counte based on the number of tch requests “rejected”, becaue the cell has all its tch channels busy. Whether it is HR or FR doesn’t change anything. Depending on the system capabilities, you can also have additional 2 indicators, that tells you the number of TCH HR congestion rate and TCH FR congestion rate.

    Hi all,

normally TCH Blocking is calculated as

TCH Blocking := TCH Attempts – TCH Normal Seizures – Outgoing Directed Retry HO

In Siemens BSS it seems to be that the TCH Attempts are increased by Compression HO (TCH Blocking is rising) , but how can this be calculated ?

    Regards Zbigniew
