Outgoing HO problems

    hi guys,
    what are the possible causes for outgoing HO problems and especially a high % of outgoing HO fail with Reversion to old channels?

    it can be due to a BSC Database problem, try to check if the adjancencies are correctly declared @ BSC Level.

    if it is a problem with co-sited cells, eg. 900 and 1800, it could be a synchronization issue.

    if it’s really high, then probably it’s hard or software related. But you could also verify interference and overlap between the two cells. Just to ensure those are not a problem.

    You can dot that with drivetest. This drivetest can also give you good indication on what’ going on. You could also check the reselection. If that doesn’t work, then it’s clearly not “normal” 🙂

    If it’s software, you could try to delete the adjacency in the OMC-R, and recreate it. You could even try to delete the two cells, recreate them and recreate the adjacency.

    If it’s hardware, then synchronization is a possible problem –> check the SUM card

    Does it happen with only one neighbor or all neighbors ? In one direction or in both direction ?

    Issue possibly could be that the scaning freq are not defined yet the n-cells are.
