Please give your opinion about the following question. We have MSC/SSP and SCP. MSC/SSP starts TCAP dialogue to SCP (for CAMEL). This dialogue consists of exchange of operations (operation code) between MSC/SSP and SCP. Each operation has “invoke id”. So, there are followings operations during dialogue “Apply charging” sent by SCP and “Apply_charging_report” sent by SSP. If we have long enough converstaion, then there are few such pairs. The question is – must be the same “invoke id” inside each pair of “Apply_charging”/”Apply_charging_report”? (basing on some specs if possible).
Thnaks for any ideas!
Hello, Mik!
parameter ‘invoke id’ in invoke_operation_request and in response on that request must be the same. This allows to invoke several operations on remote entity within a single dialog or several invoking of the same operation within a single dialog. See ITU-T Rec. Q.771-Q.775 about TCAP.
