    in here 2216 doesn’t always have 3 psu’s, i often meet 2216 with only 2 psu connected

what do you mean? physically connected to the RBS? if you can’t see it on the IDB.. just click Configuration>>Define>>Present RUs, then double click the right side to go to the left side..

it has 3xPSUs enough to power up a fully equipped RBS2216/2116

no, it really only has 2 psu’s connected physically for 2216

    for 2116, it has 3 psu’s

@ndut: I assume that for 2116 type, it needs more power for enclosure fan so the operator add 1 PSU form their specification (2 PSUs)

how many DRUs do you have?

if you have DRUs 1 to 3, you will have 2 at least… if 4 to 6, 2 PSUs will be enough, but won’t be enough once 1 PSU fail…usually, 4-6 DRUs were delivered with 3 PSUs. 1 PSU is 1500W.. a full config cabinet loaded with traffic will consume 2200W.. so 2 is enough when 1 will fail, but needs to replace to avoid total failure.

because 6 x DRUs with traffic consumes 2200W.. 1 PSU = 1500W.. 4500W is enough to support full config.. fail safe.
