Call drops after 24 minutes

    Hi, I am in a Ericsson GSM market and some customers in a particular area are complaing about drop calls after 24 minutes of use?? Any ideas???

    yes, very simple : your NSS is stopping the call after 24 minutes. It is possible to set such a timer by the operator, but it usually sets at 1 or 2 hours.

    well, it seems the most plausible explanation, if all the call drops happen at 24 minutes 🙂 can you reproduce it in a drivetest ?

    Perhaps there’s mismatch between Q714 Tias and Tias timers. The values of them should fulfill the following criteria:

    BSC Tias < MSC Tiar BSC Tiar > MSC Tias

    Tiar should be twice as bigger as Tias.
