    it highly depends on the traffic you’ll carry in the BSC.

    4 E1 = 123 channels + 1 SS7 timeslot

    then you can use your erlang B table to find out how much channels you need to carry your traffic.

    the SS7 uses usually 1 timeslot for 4 E1 (typical configuration rule, a little over-dimensioned though)

    If you need 20 E1, then you’ll need 5 SS7 timeslots.

    hello mosa,

    oh, ok, THE full configuration. Well, I’ve no idea about THE full configuration of your BSC, because the full configuration of a Huawei, Ericsson, Alcatel, Nokia, Motorola, ZTE BSC’s are all different.

    As said earlier, it depends on how many TRX will be connected to the BSC.

    good morning mosa,

    sorry, i can’t help you on this one. it is dependent on Siemens specs, but if you can tell me how many TRX are connected to your BSC in full config, i can give you a rough idea of how many E1 you’ll need.

    I can’t do anything more 🙂

    bye;

    1 E1 of the ATer can carry 30 x 4 calls = 120 calls simultaneously.

    the capacity = 120 channels. check your erlang B table to have the amount of erlangs. It should be about 115 to 119 erlangs.
