    what is GOS means?
    Gos grade of service (blocking)

    in radio part we design the network forcertian Gos , for example Gos in 2%, by erlang table B, there is a relation between number of channel , blocking rate ,and traffic.

    so according to number of channel and Gos we can know the desgin traffic.

    Hi all,

    in Huawei BSC32 there is what’s called TCH congestion Rate (TCH Overflow) (%) i didn’t find the formula behind it but i found the one for SDCCH congestion Rate (SDCCH overflow) (%), which is
    (Attempted SDCCH seizures meeting an sdcch blocked state/attempted sdcch seizures all), so it looks similar.
    So i get for tch cogestion overflow for one cell 40%
    and tch congestion 3% so why this big difference do you think.

    Hello,

    Dear , Majid becuase as you know SDCCH is a control channel the user and network use this channl for many thing

    location upadte , IMSI deatach,
    recall estiblshed ,, sms ,,so try to check the defination of this KPI,attempted sdcch seizures all

    which services are include in this counter , you have to know the traffic from whaere

    also check your resourcse .

    TCH Call Blocked =

    some vendor call this KPI TCH congestion rate (%) = TCH overflow*100/TCH attempts

    2 TCH Assign Success Rate

    = TCH assign request /tch attempts

    3 Call Success Rate
    100-TCH assign failure

    0r TCH seizure succ attepts/TCH attempts

    4 Drop Call Rate

    Most of vendors have two call drop

    SDCCH and TCH

    TCH call drop rate (%)
    TCH call drop /TCH sizure attemots

    also for SDCCH

    5 SDCCH Call Blocked
    SDCCH congestion

    6 SDCCH Assign Success Rate

    $7 Handover Success Rate
    handover request/handover attepts
    depends on Handover type

    8 Handover Failure Rate

    check this formula

    Traffic Volume for CS Domain_AMR(Kbyte)= Traffic Volume for CS Domain_AMR(Erl)×12.2×3600/8

    it deponds on the traffic type

    if we work with video trafic we will take in our consideration 64Kbps instead of 12.2

    i am not sure .

    but we create these formula by logic
