Dear all,

Does anyone know the reasons why in TCH for Dynamic MAIO Allocation can not be used for GPRS? Next, In Common BCCH system, Area coverage is divided to 2 area,(inner and complete). Why TCH in the inner area can not be used for GPRS as well? Thanks b4..

1. maybe a MS can only get consecutive PDCHs that belongs to the same MAIO. that’s probably written somewhere in 3GPP.
i dunno about dynamic maio allocation.

2. PDCH in inner zone are forbidden, i guess it also has to do with some 3GPP recommendations. i forgot the details.

I Nokia it is possible to have GPRS in the inner zone. Even SDCCH is possible.
