Why do we use smaller frquency for uplink and higher freq for downlink in GSM?? Pls give me some technical reason for the same
you can say that lower frequencies imply less propagation loss : the gain between uplink and donlink frequncies is less than O.3dB, as far as i remember. This is too small to be significant, but this could be the logical reason.
Higher frequency needed more power than lower frequency. So uplink frequency is always lower to save ms battery charge.
