In Siemens vendor the formula for External Handover Success Rate=100 (* externalHandoverSuccess
external handover attempts)
inour network external handover success > handover attempts
what the reasons for that
please help me about it14th March 2008 at 16:11 #51560pixGuest
external handover success > “external ?” handover attempts . it shouldn’t be possible, if what you’re looking at is correct.
By the way, why don’t you give us a full example of a report ? with internal & external ho requests, attempts and success ?15th March 2008 at 05:31 #51561PanGuest
In what network entity (MSC or BSC) these counters are registered?
What counters constitute the externalHandoverSuccess?
Handover attempts in MSC are only inter-BSC handover attempts and Inter-Msc from MSCA to MSCB handover attempts, but not from MSCB to MSCA and subsequent handovers.16th March 2008 at 07:57 #51562HasnGuest
This formula for Ext HO SR
InterBSCHOAtt = BTS_EXTHO:ATINBHDO
InterBSCHOSucc = BTS_EXTHO:SUINBHDO
Ext HO SR = 100*(100/70)
Ext HO SR=142 %
Please help me about this problem

From where did you get these values? Spots? Can you check the values inside the measurement file getting from BSC?16th March 2008 at 13:07 #51564HasnGuest
