    Hi All,

I’m interested in knowing some piece of information about the Huawei RNC. Which operating system is used in Huawei RNC’s plug-in-units (some commerical one or proprierty one)? What about troubleshooting; is it easy e.g. understand how software is operating, etc.?

    Cheers,
    Johnny

I know that Huawei RNC uses VXworks for the operating systems of the main boards and Suse Linux for the OMCR server.

Ok. Thanks! VxWorks is quite ok realtime OS – from what I know. Nokia/NSN uses Chorus in some units, and Linux (based in Redhat) in their O&M unit and also their inhouse developed OS mainly in the units handling signaling.

I think you can’t download it – at least leagally. It’s commercial OS from WindRiver.
