does changing the HO downlink quality threshold has any affects on DCR? (alcatel’s equipment)
If you decrease the threshold (let’s say from 4 to 2), then you will increase the number of handovers, and therefore the risk of call drops (handovers are risky)
if you increase from 4 to 6, you allow a call to be on a cell even though the RXQUAL is bad. This is risky, and it can lead to a call drop.
in ericsson ,a value of 5.5 works well for amr and on-amr calls. pick a cell to test different settings.
