Guestmy CDMA BSC capacity is 15k . How i can calculate no of subscribers it can handle…
Abdel
GuestIt depends on your average traffic per subscriber. Different countries and different cultures. In the UAE the average traffic per subscriber is 75miliErlang one of the highest in the world. While the nominal is 25miliErlang. In our country it is 33miliErlang. If your average traffic per subscriber is high your BSC can handle less subscribers. but I don’t remember the formulae. someone else may help you.

If average traffic per sub. is 25 miliErlang
0.025 = traffic(Erl)/Number of subscribersBSC capacity = 15,000 Erl
thus
subscriber = 15k/0.025 = 600KSachin
Guestis there any difference for CDMA system.

Guestit would approximatively be the same. it only depends on which law you use to calculate capacity : erlang B law, erlang C law, … ?

GuestAnswer to Prabhu.
Use the MML command during a low traffic period.
It can take APZ processing power.
Careful with HLR-R (Mated Pairs) implementation.
