Pls i would like us to discuss this topic as a way of reducing SDCCH congestion on multiband cells. How can this be achieved on an ericsson BSC
Hello Michael,
I’m not using Ericsson, but Alcatel. However the effect of adding more SDCCH capacity in a multiband cell is definitely a good way to reduce congestion.
You could use other solutions, such as dynamic SDCCH, or find a way to reduce your signalling load (reduce the location updates, reduce the dummy RACH, etc)
