    HI all,

BS-AGBLK-RES is number of reserved blocks for access grant channel in the 51-frame Multiframe. i previously learnt that usually we donot reserve any blocks for access grant channel specifically (AGBLK = 0) and keep all the common control channel blocks for paging channel because AGCH already has priority, so there is no need to reserve a channel for that.

In my network, optimizers have put BS-AGBLK-RES = 2. I am confused now that why they have reserved 2 blocks for AGBLK when it not necessary. Wont it affect the paging performance (as there will be lesser number of paging blocks now). Kindly comment.

    Hi Adeel,

Yes you are right it will affect the paging performance. Check if they have set CBCH=YES?
