    Nachi,

    1. at low rxlev, it is normal to have a lot of emergency HO ping pong… unless you increase the HO MARGIN LEV … did you try already ?

    2. “sudden connection loss” is then a counter. What is the event that triggers this message ? (check “counters definitions”)
    From the name, i’d expect it is a hardware failure from the BTS or from the ABIS.

    i think in ericsson systems, when the call drops due to sudden drop of signal strength, it pegs the counter for sudden drops. for example if you enter a tunnel and your sacch messages stop reaching the BTS and the call drops, then the sudden drop counter will be pegged in ericsson system.

    correct me if i am wrong.

    it seems that ericsson already have a counter “call drop due to low signal strentgh”.

    Yes, ericsson has such a counter, also for DL or UL or DL/UL
