Hi All,
As per GSM rule LAC updation is done only in IDAL mode. So in dedicated mode if a mobile subsciber moves from one BSC to another then how this LAC updation works?
LU performed on idal mode only
Case MS move to another LAC such as inter BSC or inter MSC HO. During on HO process new LAC/CI will update on VLR not inform HLR. After MS change state to idle mode the MS will initial LU process.
With this parameter you define the maximum distance between
the BTS and the MS in call setup. The maximum distance is
expressed as an access delay. Within the range of 0…62, one step
correlates to a distance of 550 meters. If the access delay of the
channel request message exceeds the given maximum, the call
attempt is rejected. When the parameter is given a value from 63
to 255, call attempts are never rejected

WAT WILL HAPPEN IN CASE AN MS WILL MOVE FROM ONE LAC TO OTHER LAC IN DEDICATED MODE AND COMES BACK TO ITS INITIAL LAC AND THAN DISCONNECT THE CALL , WAT WILL BE THE EXACT SENERIO OF LAC UPDATE .
