We actually use Poisson distribution to calculate traffic because that’s the standard in my company.
I just want to know what is the difference between using Erlang B or Poisson and which are the advantages and disadvantages in using one over the other.
Thanks.
P.S.: does anybody know where could i get poisson distribution table in the Internet??
Ruber -Erlang-B assumes blocked calls are cleared [ to another group ] example – High Usage groups where traffic overflows to another group – requires less trunks for same GOS
Poisson assumes blocked calls are held. requires more trunks for same GOS
I also am looking for POISSON table up to 1944 trunks
