    It is possible but, you must include resistance on the connector.

    I can just to give you reference on my cable Nokia:

    ON DB9, there is a black box:
    BLACK BOX (724)746-5500
    Code: IC620A-F
    Item: RS232/486
    converter

    Code NOKIA cable: TU21748.01.01A
    mark = melart electronics PFK

    I believe that câble is very expensive.
