    hi all,
can anyone give a good explaination of the difference between CDU F and CDU G in Ericsson RBS equipment or what are the advantages of one over the other.Ericsson documentation does not really give a good explaination except it does show different configurations

    CDU-G for GSM
Double capacity combiner – supports up to
4 TRXs per two antennas or one dual polarised

With hybrid combining the CDU-G allows base
band hopping and synthesised frequency hopping.
The CDU-G is hardware prepared to support EDGE and
can handle up to 12 TRUs per cell.
CDU-G is prepared to handle 8 TRXs per CDU by
use of a future extra hybrid combiner on the path
between the dTRUs and the CDU-G.
The CDU-G is primarily designed for RBS 2106 and RBS 2206

    • Synthesiser and base frequency hopping are
    supported
    • Configurations with and without hybrid
    combinations are possible
    • Maximum 12 TRXs per cabinet when
the hybrids in the dTRUs are used
    • Maximum 6 TRXs per cabinet when the
hybrids in the dTRUs are not used.
The 6 TRXs will in this configuration
    occupy the CDU-G capacity
    • Covers E-GSM
