Merits of Frequency And Antenna Hopping

    Pls i’m working on an optimisation project and wish know a lot about Antenna Hopping and Frequency Hopping and how exploit them for Network optimisation.
    Your expert comment and materials to assist in this respect is desired.

    hi michael,

    antennas don’t hop… that’d be quite a sight though !

    frequency hopping is a complex feature, i recommend you read slowly about it in a book or on internet. you’ll need drawings and examples to understand.
    frequency hopping is the same whichever the vendor, it is not vendor dependant.

    Hi Pix,
    There is option in the IDB settings for Ericsson RBS that is about Antenna Hopping. Obviously antenna will not physically Hop, but i think this like a logical Tx diversity for the Antenna system.Pls research for more info.
