    Can anyone give me an idea as to why a cell will only be carring “Handover” traffic. You cannot initiate a call on the cell, but call initiated on adjacent cell are being accepted.

    Erisson RBS 2206 and Ericsson BSC..

    It happens, when cell is not defined at MSC side, or defined incorrectly at MSC side.
    CGI parameter at MSC for cell should be equal to CGI at BSC side for this cell.

    To define cell at MSC:

    mgcei:cell=CELLNAME,cgi=CGI;

    To find CGI at BSC side:

    rldep:cell=CELLNAME;

    Hi,

    Can someone assist me in interpreting the information below:

    MO STATE BLSTATE BLO BLA LMO BTS CONF

    RXOTS-128-9-0 NOOP BLO 0010 0008 0500 ENA ENA

    I am trying to interpret the HEX values, that give information on the likely reason for the MO being blocked.

    Thank You

    I don’t know, how to decode this faultcode,but actually I am not shure, that decoding will give you result, because MO is TS, and it is very primitive.

    Try to execute
    rxcdp:mo=rxotg-XXX;
    rxasp:mo=rxotg-XXX;
    rxmfp:mo=rxocf-XXX;

    It will show you clear picture over this BTS.

    If you will paste it here – we can try to understanf why it is faulty.

    when a cell is defined wrong in MSC,I mean CGI is different in MSC and BSC, nobody can initiate a call, but only MS from internal neigbours can move into the cell.
    So check CGI in BSC and MSC,they must be equal.
