    Hello,

What is the usual “realistic” outdoor coverage radius distance for 2100MHz 3G tri-sectors node B (with 20W PA/sector and 17dBi antennas),

    1- in low/medium urban environment (antenna high = 25m)

2- in rural environment (antenna high = 40/50m)

3- for very high site (on mountain) (coverage > 10km possible ?)

    (for voice 12.2kbps service)

Thank you for sharing your experience about this..

    Thanks 😀

In urban environment (1), the intersite distance shall be about 1km… but in rural and high-sites, I still don’t know.

    Hi,
Coverage depends on the active users and neighbour cells. Are you asking for single cell no load?

A single cell, with no load… it’s all theoretical, for planning purpose. But I’d like input of real drive-tests in actual 3G networks…

Can a cell really cover up to 700m (indoor) in an urban area ? (etc…)

    Thanks.
