    what relation between Ec/No & Ec/Io?
what we will see in layer 3 message
    while location update?

is RSCP is more or less similar to RX level of 2G,

Chip Energy divided by Noise Density,
Ec/No is the Received Signal Code Power (RSCP) divided by the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI).

Q)how scanner helps in the rf optimization
    A) The max radio links that our mobile can support is 3. But using scanner we can scan more than 3 RL sets.
Usually Scanner is mainly useful to find out the pilot pollution.

Can any one have idea about HSDAP codes, Codding Tech. used in 3g and Relation between CQI and HSDPA…
    2.What is actual meaning of “Ec\Io -12 dbm ” ?
    3. What is denotes this term “RSCP is -80 db )

    CPICH: Pilot channel
    RSCP: recived Pilot channel power
    Ec/Io: Pilot channel Quality.
Ec/No and Ec/Io both are almost same.. no big diffence..
    RSSI=RSCP+EC/Io
    Eb/Io=Ec/Io+processing gain

RSCP = Received signal code power it is a some of RSSI(Received signal strength) and Ec/No in dbm.

    RSCP (dbm) = RSSI(dbm)+Ec/No(dbm).

    Characteristics:
    1. These quatities will be measured from primary CPICH.To evaluate receive signal condition.
    2. RSSI and RSCP is measured for full frequency.
    3. Ec/No is measured for a cell on that frequency.

In UMTS how much carrier frequency is alloted in Each sector of a NodeB??
Is it 5MHz or something else?
What is the Bandwidth of a Scrambling code?
Is it same like 200KHz carrier channel in GSM??
