    hi john,
this a fault related to VSWR
    Fault name :Power limits exceeded
Related faults :SO CF RU:5 – CDU
    SO CF RU:24 – CU
    SO CF RU:26 – FU
AO TX I1B:2 – CDU output power limits exceeded
AO TX I1B:20 – CU/CDU input power fault
AO TX I2A:0 – TX diversity fault
Description If this fault occurs together with related fault AO TX I1B:20, the measured
TX power at the CDU-F/CU input differs too much from the expected
    value.
If related fault AO TX I1B:20 is not raised, the measured TX power at the
CDU/FU output differs too much from the expected. The related fault AO
TX I1B:2 may also be raised, if the difference is severe.
Action Follow the instructions below until the fault is corrected:
If AO TX I1B:20 is present:
    • Check the TX cable between the TRU and the CDU-F/CU.
    • Switch OFF and ON the power to the CDU-F/CU.
    • Reset the TRU.
    • Replace the CDU-F/CU.
    • Replace the TRU.
    Otherwise:
    • Check the TX cable between the TRU and the CDU.
    • Check the Pfwd and Prefl cables (if present) between the TRU and
    CDU/CU.
    • Check the TX cables/feeders and connections inside and outside the
    cabinet.
    • Switch OFF and ON the power to the CDU/FU.

    hi john,

    AO TX I1A:0 RBS 2206
    Fault Name: TX offending
    Remark: Only CDU-F
Description: This fault arises when the BSC has configured two TXs on the same frequency or if the frequency separation is below the guard band (600 kHz in GSM 900 and 1 MHz in GSM 1800). The TX will be disabled in order to protect the CDU-F from overheating.
Possible reasons: BSC wants to move a frequency from one TX to another TX and “forgets” to disable the first TX before configuring the second TX. The TX will be automatically disabled and reconfigured to a non-offending frequency.
Action: The frequency planning is wrong (check Data Transcript for this cell).

I have had the same issue with cduf-g 1900 mhz…it was a poor cable on the tx side of combiner cable kit on the dtru. replaced cable.

    hi,
can any one explain the cause for the faults code mention below for RBS2204 Ericsson.

PCM SYNCH (NO USABLE PCM REFERENCE)
The synchronisation reference from the PCM network is faulty
(for example too much jitter/wander) or missing. The fault
    message is raised if:
    – TF has been trying to synchronise towards the PCM reference
    for more than 5 minutes.
    – TF did not recover before the holdover timeout, that is the
fault message AO TF EC2:1 was active for too long.
Note: Only when TF mode is master or stand-alone.

    related fault
    AO TF EC2:1

PCM SYNCH (NO USABLE PCM REFERENCE)

    Possible Reasons
This is probably a transmission fault. Check the PCM line, the transmission equipment, etc.
Check PCM quality with BSC and OMT monitor “Phase difference error, PCM”.
Note: the preferred PCM reference can be set in the IDB, e.g. PCM A, PCM B or both.

    my problem is
    “Power limits exceeded”
when recreat IDB the problem deplace between SA, SB SC
    all these action
Check the TX cable between the TRU and the CDU-F/CU.
    • Switch OFF and ON the power to the CDU-F/CU.
    • Reset the TRU.
    • Replace the CDU-F/CU.

    • Check the Pfwd and Prefl cables (if present) between the TRU and
    CDU/CU.
    • Check the TX cables/feeders and connections inside and outside the
    cabinet.
    • Switch OFF and ON the power to the CDU/F

PCM SYNCH NO USABLE PCM REFERENCE
The synchronization reference from the PCM network is faulty (for example, too much jitter/wander) or missing. More information can be found in Transmission System Supervision in the CPI for the relevant RBS.
The alarm is raised if the following applies:
    – TF has been trying to synchronize with the PCM reference for more than 5 minutes after initial startup.
    – TF has detected that the PCM reference has drifted more than 80 ppb during the last 48h.
    – If a second PCM reference is not available and the TF did not recover before the holdover period expired (that is, the AO TF EC2:1 alarm was active for too long.)
    – The holdover period depends on how long it takes for the variance of the TF estimated frequency to exceed a variance limit for a class 1 alarm. The limit is set to ensure that the frequency at the antenna does not exceed the 50 ppb accuracy limit.
    – Explanation:When the reference quality of the PCM is outside specification of G.823 and G.824, the BTS goes into holdover and the TF starts to estimate its own frequency quality. The trigger to go into holdover and start the estimation is when short-term wander on the PCM reference is more than 6 ppm for 25 seconds. The estimation process, using a Kalman filter, causes the variance of the estimated frequency to increase with time.
    – The alarm is raised after about 24 h when the temperature varies within +-10°C if the following conditions are fulfilled:
    – RBS with DUG or DXU excluding DXU-01, DXU-03, DXU-11
    – More than 72 hours of operation locked to PCM, with temperature supervision.
    – PCM reference traceable to G.812 Type II/Stratum 2
    – The alarm is raised after about 60 minutes if the above conditions are not fulfilled.
Only when TF mode is master or stand-alone.
