    Dear all,
Please what do you think could be the reason(s) for high SDCCH drops for cells in a BSC, if Ericsson OSS gives you the main reasons for such a phenomenon as “Other reasons”; “Other reasons” are greater than 80%. Thank you in advance

    Hi,

    1) Please check the ChanReqMSFail counter. If this is equal to SDCCH Drop then it should be PhantomRACH.

    2) Check your Radio Link Timeout paramter.

Thank you for the answer. Right the RLINKT value is 20. Increasing it will mean the caller might experience more waiting time before getting his call release if there is a problem with SACCH decoding. What could be the causes of slow or poor SACCH decoding? Thank you in advance.
