Thanks again for accomodating my questions.
If no RRI for Ultrasite, how will i upgrade the Metrosite to the ultrasite?
Metrosite is the existing BTS on site w/c has indoor coverage only. But now they want to upgrade it to Ultrasite so they could make sec1 for indoor, sec2&3 for outdoor?
How will i connect the transmission for the existing to the Ultrasite.
Many thanks. Hope my question aren’t annoying.. 🙂9th February 2007 at 13:22 #42574patrickGuest

The difference between Metro and ultra is physical and capacity, Bigger and wider and more TRX.
Technology is the same. You can do 444 with ultrasite and 200 with metro.
If no RRI, use FXC E1/T1 card. You have 4 PCM in/out.
If you don’t destroy Metro then it will be co-localization.
One PCM for Metro
One PCM for Ultra
You must declare hand-over between 2 BTS even if they were different.
Ultra will be a new site with sector 1, 2 or 3.
Metro stay here with only 1 sector.
You can use 1 PCM for 2 BTS.
Divised your PCM there 2.
On your ET:
TS 1-6 for 1st BTS
TS 1-12 for 2nd BTS
On your BTS (traffic manager)
get back TS for the 1st
get back TS for the 2nd10th February 2007 at 09:03 #42575nishantGuest

Where do you use RJ45????
DB9 On ULTRASITE, it is Q1.
1-6 tx or rx
5-9 tx or rx
DB9 is above in side connector alarm ext (1-24) and Q1_sss (for nuss energy)15th February 2007 at 09:45 #42583Geet MukhraGuest
when u use Q1 managment for FIU19 E,then u have a RJ45 port for Q1 at FIU and DB 9 Pin port at Ultra site BTS.For that i need pin configuration for Q1 cable.

i have an another type of FIU because i don’t have RJ45.
On TQ or DB9, it is the same pin of PCM 2Mbit.
