model tuning

while doing model tuning we get get slop and intercept based these two parameter how does we judge for a model correction.Are there any standard slop/intercept for each clutters.
normally what i do while m.tuning is ,by superimposing the clutter file over delta image and adjust v.height/v.loss for best fitt
