Query on freuency hopping

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me how exactly frequency hopping happens in the GSM network?
    When is the HSN and MAIO provided to the user?

    Hello Rohini,

    The HSN and MAIO can be sent to the mobile via an ASSIGNMENT COMMAND.

    It is described in deatil in 3GPP spec 44018-550 found at the 3gpp.org site.
