can you help me!
I would like to calculate total number sub in local exchange from BHCA.
thanks27th January 2005 at 03:41 #40550mohsin ismailGuest
this is my proposal of calculation:-
A= traffic in erlang
C= traffic in erlang per sub
D= total number of sub.
B= Mean holding time in secs.
Here you must know:-
B,C,BHCA, then you get the A. From A you will get D.

sorry for my mistake..28th January 2005 at 01:01 #40555Mohsin IsmailGuest
you need Traffic in erlang/sub value. From that put in A=C*D, then compute in BHCA formula.
good luck28th January 2005 at 01:10 #40556xxxGuest
Your correction still has the error. What is the formular D=C/D ?????????????????
Pls correct it28th January 2005 at 01:14 #40557Mohsin IsmailGuest
forget about D=C/D, the correct one is A=C*D.28th January 2005 at 01:32 #40558MisaGuest
Here is the calculation:
BHCA = BHT * 3600 / MHT
BHT = Busy Hour Traffic in Erlang
MHT = Mean Holding Time in second
BHT = NSUB * C
NSUB = number of subscribers
C = traffic in Erlang per subscriber
-> BHCA = NSUB * C * 3600 / MHT
Normally C = 0.025 Erl/sub
-> BHCA = 300000*0.025*3600/100
-> BHCA = 270000
