calculate number sub from BHCA

    I would like to calculate total number sub in local exchange from BHCA.

    hi peter

    this is my proposal of calculation:-

    BHCA= A*3600/B
    A=C/D
    D=C/D

    where
    A= traffic in erlang
    C= traffic in erlang per sub
    D= total number of sub.
    B= Mean holding time in secs.

    Here you must know:-
    B,C,BHCA, then you get the A. From A you will get D.

    How can I calculate BHCA ?

    Hi Vijay

    you need Traffic in erlang/sub value. From that put in A=C*D, then compute in BHCA formula.

    forget about D=C/D, the correct one is A=C*D.

    Hi Vijay

    Here is the calculation:

    BHCA = BHT * 3600 / MHT

    where
    BHT = Busy Hour Traffic in Erlang
    MHT = Mean Holding Time in second

    BHT = NSUB * C

    where
    NSUB = number of subscribers
    C = traffic in Erlang per subscriber

    -> BHCA = NSUB * C * 3600 / MHT

    Normally C = 0.025 Erl/sub

    -> BHCA = 300000*0.025*3600/100
    -> BHCA = 270000

    BSC Incoming / Outgoing.

    PSTN Incoming /Outgoing.

    VMS Outgoing.

    What else ?
