Hi,
I’m not an engineer but need some advice on same.
If I was given the Busy Hour average traffic per customer expressed in erlangs, the mean voice channel capacity per BTS and the number BTS. I am also told the the maximum call rejection rate allowed is 1%.
How do I calculate the network capacity measured in number of customers or is this even possible given this information?
Busy Hour everage traffic per customer = BHCA
voice channel capacity/BTS = ?
number of BTS = ?
number of custumers/subsribers=?
your information, i think is a reverse question. This is my opinion:
Usually for network planning we start with forecast of subscriber, then we have to now the BHCA/subs, MHT/subs, erlang/sub … from that, we get the number of channel(from the erlanB table), from that base on product of vendor support we get the number of BTS/BSC then so on…..
May be you will get other’s opinion,
regads
