Assume telephone users make 2 calls during the busy hour, with each call lasting 4 minutes (on average, exponentially
distributed). Assuming a requirement for blocking probability of 0.1% on a single T1, how many
subscribers can be supported? What is the T1 channel utilization during the busy-hour?
Does anybody know how to solve this ?

A single T1 line is used to carry voice traffic from a remote concentrator (IDLC) to a central office. How many
10 CCS subscribers can the IDLC support at 0.5% blocking probability?

    10CCS/sub means 0.28E(1000/3600)
From Erlang B Table for 0.5% GOS 24 ccts will carry 14E traffic.

Hence subscribers supported will be 14/0.28 = 50 Subscribers
