    Hello,

I was wondering if you could help me with a query. I’m looking to convert figures from erlangs into megabits per second. Is there a specific formula which is used or do you divde by a cetain factor.

I hope I’ve explained my problem and that somebody can help me.

    Thanks

The Erlang formula will tell you how many lines/circuits/channels you require. If you are using a digital bearer then you will calculate the number of channels. Each channel will use a set bandwidth (usually 64kb for carrier grade lines) Multiply the number of channels by the channel bandwidth. Dont forget to add in bandwidth for D channels too.
