    HI every body

iam new to RF pls help with this doubt

    a) The BTS transmitts the power at 20watts where as the mobile transmits power at 0.8watts maximum.

    My question is
the mobile cant handle or with stand RF 20watt power, now there is a power control we say for this purpose. then where will the difference power between the mobile and the BTS attenuated.

Iam not clear with the concept of power control.

    Hi !
power control used for 2 main purposes:
    1) reduce interference
    2) reduce power consumption
both those cases used for both Mobile Station and Base Station, exept one case, power control on BS does’t work on BCCH TRX (at least on Nokia), and those power controls are separated alghoritms, for MS and BS…
