    hi,

is call drop also correlated to sd drop? since in my case, my call drop are somehow increasing as well as my sd drop.

    thanks,
    chill

    Hi Chill,

How is ur HSR in these cells.

If it is bad check ur COBSIC, COBCCH Collision.

it will decrease ur SDDROP and TCHDROP too.

    regards

    hi tufail,

the HOSR of these site are quite ok, they passed the KPI threshold. thats why its hard for me to determine what paramets to modify…the only thing im sure is that, almost all of the drops based on the counters are caused by low signal strenght.

    thanks,

how to decide SDCCH & AGCCH blocks for the site ?

    tarun sharma,

for SDCCH : check out your vendors recommentation : for a certain number of TRX in a cell, he will tell you how many SDCCH are necessary.
Default usage, one SDCCH/8 will cater for 2 TRX.
If you have a lot of SMS’s, you might need some extra SDCCH channels, or some dynamic SDCCH/TCH timeslots.

For AGCH, you can choose one block minimum + dynamic allocation of AGCH blocks over Paging blocks.

In both cases, it is always possible to check the QOS (congestion SDCCH ? congestion AGCH ?) in order to reconfigure the cell later on.
