1-Can a CDMA base station be used for both fixed wireless access and mobile terminals.

2-What is the range of a CDMA base station compared to a GSM base station.

    Thanks

    Well Ovie …
Yeah! CDMA bae stations can be used for both fixed wireless access and mobile terminals.

The range of a CDMA base station depends upon the clutter type.Like for highway sites it can be 7-8 kms. while in denser region may be after 1 km one base station is reqd.As per capacity wise one sector can have 35 users practically, so a base station with 3 sectors can carry 105 users.

    Hi Emre,
Seven users can have a simultaneous call using 7TS.Remember TDMA in GSM uses 8TS but one of this TS is used for signalisation while 7TS are used for communication.
