AS per the “Backward Call Indicator” field of a ISUP message( 2 Octets ) like CON, ANM we can get to know from the LSB bits (BA ) of the 1st Octet that whether to “Charge” or “No Charge” or ” No Indication of Charge” Could somebody give some Call scenario when from Bacward Call Indiactor we wil get “No Charging ” or “No Indication of charge “

The examples of calls where you would get “No Charging” are freephone, level 1 services like 100,101 ,102 etc .In freephone the call is paid by he “B” party while the level 1 sercvices (In India) are free of cost.

    Hope it clears

    Hi Amit and Raja,

I am working with GSM-Operator in Saudi.

    For any incoming calls.
I dont see any “CHARGE” ….I always see “NO INDICATION”.
    Why ?

What will be for Outgoing Calls ?

    Rgds

Scot, it is not very correct if you are getting “No Indication” for the charging field as without the mention “Charging” or “No charging” how can it be decided that whether the call be billled or not. Pls check up your Signalling definitions
