the metro BTS are generally of less capacity so they are used in highways
and vimal is right at his point

and there are three major reasons for negative supply:-

    – the noise generally run to +ve terminal so as we use -ve pot. we improve the speech quality

    -it resist corrosion

-it protect faithfully ur euipment during lightening

and Mr. Vimal thanks for answering my Ques.

    Hello,
I am working on Nortel’s 1xRTT CDMA network.
I reviewed their OMs (Operational Measurements) and I am trying to understand the difference between a Burst Setup and a Link Setup?

    for slnagraj – 4 Dec 2005

1)Various components of a BTS, Central processor, Transceiver (transmitter and receiver Unit), Combiner and distribution Unit( to combine and distribute signals to/from various TRX), and antenna system.

    2) how to diffeentiate a 2/2/2 from a 4/4/4 bts

2/2/2 means a BTS with three sectors alfa/beta/gama, with 2-2-2 TRE in each sector. whereas 4/4/4 means 4 TRE in each sector. 4/4/4 can cater more number of subscribers compared to 2-2-2.

    for Lijo Johny – 6 Nov 2005

RBS 2206 is the latest with 12 TRU (Transceiver Unit- basically the function is transmitter and receiver)with CDU (combiner and distribution unit to enable various TRU to share the same antenna and vice versa), then u have DXU (Distribution and switching Unit, acts as a central processor and handles all teh control function life communication with BSC and providing resources to individual TRU), then u have 4 Rectifire module to convert AC power to DC power.
