Hi,
We are having Lucent 5ESS switch and we are unable to activate C7 link with CDOT 2216 switch. With other versions of switch it is working fine.
Can you pls explain?

Hello Rakesh,

I am not sure about the switch configuration, but in-general when it comes to activating the link the following points should be taken care.

T1/E1 properties,

Clock External/Internal
Frame Type
TimeSlot

If the above are not set properly then MTP2 might not find the link in active stage.

SLC and DPC
If there is a miss-match between the SLC and DPC on a link then the SLTM/SLTA link test procedures are expected to fails, becasuse of which the link will not be in “active state”.

Ya rakesh, there some problem with CDOT switches, i also faces this. i’m using EWSD.
