BTS Power Savings is an optional feature on BSC level. The feature is activated and deactivated per cell.
A TRX consumes power even though it does not carry any traffic. The feature BTS Power Savings reduces the power consumption in an RBS by disabling
TRXs. This is done by blocking a TRX for new calls. Any calls which are on the blocked TRX will be moved onto other TRXs which may carry traffic. Once the
blocked TRX does not carry any traffic, the PA bias of the TRX will be disabled.
