SDCCH Congestion will affect the KPI called “SDCCH assignment congestion rate” and the other one called “SDCCH ASSIGNMENT UNSUCCESS RATE”.
The “SDCCH Assignment Failure” rate is not impacted by congestion.
Problem of congestion is not linked to radio quality. It just means that too many users are requesting for a SDCCH. The cell capacity is too low.
Possible solutions:
– add one more SDCCH ts
– change one TCH ts into a dynamic SDCCH ts ( = SDD)
– share the traffic load to another neighbor cell (thanks to reselection parameters (cell reselection offset, cell reselection hysteresis))
