solution : combine the 1800MHz cell with a collocated 900 MHz cell. 900MHz for coverage, 1800MHz for capacity.
This is referred to as “Multi Band” network, and is the main solution to densify existing 900MHz networks, or extend 1800MHz network’s coverage.
