“Does SQI affect Rxqual?” The answer is no. Rxqual affects SQI, not the other way round. Poor Rxqual means there’s interference, interference means noise to the ear, and this translates into poor SQI. However, I must point out that rxqual is not the only determinant of SQI. Factors such as rate (full or half) and coding method( EFR, AMR, etc) also play a big part. You can have excellent rxqual and still have bad SQI if you’re using, for instance, half rate.
