In alcatel bss systems, the allocation of TCH follows a certain “resource allocation” algorithm, while the PDCH follows another algorithm.
For instance :
1- TCH goes on medium power TRX, whil PDCH goes on High power TRX.
2- TCH goes on the last TRX’s available, while PDCH goes on the first TRX’s available
3- TCH goes on the last timeslot available, while PDCH goes on the first one.
All these are very simple rules, that allows the PDCH to be allocated consecutively, without risking to collide with TCH’s.
