Analysis

Having defined the nodes of a project; the links interconnecting those nodes in a network and the traffic levels, Westplan is ready to analyse and optimise the current network.

Clicking on the Optimum Network tab starts the optimisation process.

During the optimisation process, Westplan calculates the traffic offered to each link. The network drawing displayed is the same as the Entry Network drawing, except that the links are colour coded to indicate whether the call blocking experienced is within the limits set for the project. (Call blocking occurs if insufficient lines have been provided on a trunk group, and manifests itself as callers hearing a busy tone, even if the person they are calling is available).

By clicking on the Links tab, a more detailed set of results can be viewed.
