| You can download a version of fring that is pre-configured for your
account by logging into My
fring-a-ling and following the "Download fring" link. If you already
have fring installed, then please follow these manual configuration guidelines to set
fring-a-ling up on your Symbian or Windows mobile phone. You will need the
fring-a-ling account number and password that were sent to you when you signed up for an account. If
you do not yet have any credit on your fring-a-ling account, you can make a test SIP call
to 123. If fring is configured correctly, you should hear our test announcement
asking you to activate your account.
You can also make fring-a-ling calls from a SIP
adapter such as a Linksys PAP2. |

The following images show how to set up fring-a-ling on a Symbian fring
installation.

Navigate to the
add-ons using the main menu or the right key, depending on your version. Select SIP. |
You will see a list
of VoIP providers. Choose Other. |
Enter the following
details:
SIP User-ID = [Your fring-a-ling account]
SIP Password = [Your fring-a-ling password]
Proxy = sip.fringaling.com |
To make a call, select a fring contact and choose "SIP call". If you do
not yet have any credit on your fring-a-ling account, you can make a test SIP call to
123. If fring is configured correctly, you should hear our test announcement asking

From fring's main

You will see a list

You can access your fring-a-ling account using a SIP gateway, IP phone or
SIP adapter. You should use the following settings:
- User ID: [Your fring-a-ling account number]
- Password: [Your fring-a-ling password]
- SIP proxy: sip.fringaling.com
The service will not work properly without it. As an example, we have included
the recommended settings for a Linksys PAP2.
Standard fring-a-ling accounts allow only one concurrent call. If you need to
make more than one call at the same time, please explain your requirements to our support team. |
