This function estimates what blocking will be experienced with a given busy hour traffic figure and number of lines.

 

 

Format

 

=ExtErlBBlocking (Traffic,Lines,Recall)

 

 

Result

 

A real number between 0 and 1, where 0 means no blocking and 1 means full blocking.

The number of lines in a trunk group

Recall

The percentage of calls that are immediately retried if blocking is encountered

Example

 

To estimate how the blocking experienced when 1500 Erlangs of traffic is offered to 1000 lines, assuming that 20% of blocked calls are immediately retried, enter:

 

=ExtErlBBlocking(1500,1000,20)

 

The answer should be 0.386
